How to Change Email Notification Settings

Email notifications ensure you stay informed about customer messages and ongoing conversations, even when you are not logged into ConnectedWorkshop.

By customising these settings, you can control the frequency and type of alerts you receive, ensuring that important customer interactions are never missed.

What these notifications cover

It is important to note that these settings specifically control communication alerts. They apply when:

  • A customer replies to an existing message.

  • A new conversation is initiated.

  • An ongoing thread requires your attention.

Note:

These settings do not affect vehicle health data, technical alerts, or proactive service logic. They only control how you are notified about chat messages via email.

How to change your notification settings

Updating your preferences takes only a few moments. Your changes are saved automatically:

  1. Open User Settings: Click on your initials in the bottom left-hand navigation menu.

  2. Locate Notifications: Scroll down to the Notification Settings section.

  3. Customise: Tick or untick the available options based on your preference.

  • Enabled: You will receive an email whenever a customer or colleague sends a message in ConnectedWorkshop.

  • Disabled: You will only see new messages when you manually log in to the platform.

What happens after you change the settings

Personal Preferences: These settings are unique to your account. Changing your notifications will not affect your colleagues' settings or the workshop’s overall configuration.

Automated Saving: You do not need to click 'Save'. The system updates your preferences the moment you toggle a setting.

Proactive Service: Even if your workshop uses Proactive Service extensively, you can still choose to disable email alerts if you prefer to manage your workflow entirely within the dashboard.

Good to know

Notification settings are personal. Even if your workshop uses proactive service extensively, each user can decide how they prefer to be notified about messages.
