Workshops using ConnectedWorkshop can now create service bookings directly through ConnectPro, thanks to a unified integration with Volkswagen’s booking systems.
This article explains how the booking flow works, what to expect, and how to complete a booking successfully inside ConnectedWorkshop.
How to Book a Vehicle
Step 1: Click “Book Service” from the Vehicle View
- Start from the vehicle page in ConnectedWorkshop.
- Click Book service in the top-right corner. This opens the booking flow, where you can select service needs and times:
Step 2: Select Warning Lamps and Services
In the Book service window:
- Warning lamp: Select one or more active warning lamps that should be included in the booking.
Service categories: Choose from items like inspection, brake pads, or oil change.
Aftersales Promotions: Select available offers.
Cleaning: Tick cleaning needs if relevant.
Error codes: Add technical error codes to the request
Notes: Add a message if needed. A link to the vehicle profile is included automatically:
4. Click Next to proceed to the time slot selection.
Step 3: Select Date and Time Slot
- Use the calendar view to select a day and time.
- You can filter by service advisor if needed.
The system checks available slots based on the selected services:
- Once you’ve selected a time, click Book.
Step 4: Confirm Booking and Notify the Fleet
Once booked, a confirmation screen appears and a summary message is generated.
This message includes:
- Date and time
- Selected services and warning lamps
- Workshop name and address
- Click Send to send this message to the fleet contact or driver in the chat, or
Choose Skip if you don’t want to send it.
What if booking fails?
In some cases, you may see a message saying the appointment must be booked manually. This happens when:
- The dealership is not using SBO
- The backend connection fails temporarily
- The vehicle data or consent is incomplete
In these cases, you must inform the customer manually and enter the appointment into the system yourself.
More detailed error messages will be added in a future update.
