Installing the CC-Link in Used or Existing Vehicles

This guide outlines the standard operating procedure for installing a CC-Link device into a used vehicle or a vehicle that is already in active use.

Step 1: Get the Agreement

  1. Confirm Proactive Service Consent: Ensure the business or fleet customer has officially signed up for and accepted the Proactive Service terms.

  2. Update the Sales Contract: For used vehicle handovers, verify that the CC-Link device installation is noted as an official supplement to the vehicle's purchase or lease contract.

Step 2: Prepare the System

  1. Verify the Fleet Profile: Check if the company’s fleet profile already exists in your management system. If it is a new business customer, create the fleet profile before moving forward:

  2. Register the VIN First: You must manually type the VIN into ConnectedWorkshop to create the vehicle profile before any physical installation begins:

  3. Assign the Vehicle: Once the vehicle profile is created, assign it directly to the customer's fleet in the system:

Step 3: Physical Installation

  1. Workshop Authorisation: For vehicles already in active use, ensure you have a confirmed consent from the customer before authorising the physical installation.

  2. Fit the CC-Link device: The technician installs the CC-Link device into the vehicle using the digital Installation Assistant. This process links the device's unique serial number directly to the vehicle profile you created in ConnectedWorkshop

Step 4: Handover

  1. Confirm CC-Link Online: Once the system confirms the CC-Link device is online and transmitting data, the vehicle is ready to be delivered back to the customer:
