ConnectedWorkshop allows you to view Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) remotely via the CC-Link. This means you can identify technical faults before the vehicle ever enters the workshop. By reviewing these codes in advance, you can prepare the necessary parts, allocate the right technician, and reduce overall repair time.
Where to Find Error Codes
You can view error codes in two different ways depending on your task:
Option 1: For a Single Vehicle (Individual Case)
Go to Vehicles > Select a vehicle > Open the Leads and errors tab.
Use this when you are already investigating a specific customer's concern.
Option 2: For the Whole Workshop (Worklist)
Select the Warning Icon (Leads) from the left menu and click Error codes.
Use this to scan for high-priority faults across all vehicles linked to your site.
How to Read the Error Code List
Each entry provides essential technical data:

Registration Dates: * First registered: Shows how long the fault has existed.
Last registered: Shows if the fault is still actively occurring.
Deep-Dive: The Details View
Click Details on any error code to see the full technical context, including:
Severity: Indicates if the fault is Permanent or Intermittent.

Error History: A table showing every time that specific code was triggered.
Contact Log: A record of calls or messages sent regarding this specific fault.
Taking Action
Before contacting the customer, perform this quick audit:
Check for Warning Lamps: Is there a corresponding "Warning Lamp" lead?
Confirm Connectivity: Is the vehicle currently online?
Evaluate Safety: Does the code affect the vehicle's safety, emissions, or drivability?
Closing Error Codes: Only close an error code if the issue is resolved or the next step is fully documented
To close: Use the three-dot menu next to the code:
To reopen: Change your list filter to Closed, find the code, and select Reopen from the three-dot menu:
Key Takeaways
Proactive Planning: Use error codes to order parts before the vehicle arrives.
Reduce Troubleshooting: Knowing the system area in advance helps you assign the right specialist technician.
Context is King: Always check the Leads and errors tab alongside the Connectivity status to ensure the data is current.
If you are unsure, leave the lead open and add an internal note, so follow-up remains visible:
